By placing a second idler gear in theportal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for morereliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idlergears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNCgrinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310steel alloy. Frame Stiffener Required
An 8” portal kit is a heavy-duty piece of hardware for heavy-duty machines, andas awesome as most machines are, they are not quite up to snuff. That’s why aframe stiffener is required. Trust us—we’ve hit enough bumps to know thatbending a stock frame can happen. Don’t do it. Get a frame stiffener.
