"The protector on the outside of the foot is fastened with screws/rivets and they can be felt inside if your foot requires the entire space. If It is uncomfortable when you try it on first then get a different boot as that part is not getting any softer and does not wear in. Otherwise if you are not having any problems with that then this boot is sturdy and rain has not yet penetrated it at any ride."
